8D 2 *) I have the impression that Charles was never committing to anything. During the original we can see that is a womanizer (8D pure negation, I know) and has no defined religion or belief and a healthy indifference to the spiritual world, except within the limits their work. Usually I associate that, the inability to be locked into a belief, a lack of commitment, inability to commit not necessarily, but rather a desire not to compromise.
